Palmetto Mayor’s Feed the Hungry Initiative!

Since its meager beginnings in 1987, the Mayor’s Feed the Hungry Program has collected and distributed over 600 tons of food and over $4,00,000 in food gift cards given to the hungry in Sarasota and Manatee counties
On June
22, 2024, the Brothers of Pi Beta Beta in partnership with the Palmetto Mayor,
hosted their annual Mayor’s Feed the Hungry Program Food/Clothe Drive. The
Brothers of Pi Beta Beta passed out boxes of food to those in need.
Additionally, they conducted a clothing drive and blessed their mentees with
boxes of clothes and donated the rest to Mt. Raymond Full Gospel Baptist Church
in Palmetto, FL.
